It doesn't move me. There's nothing about that album really, that makes me want to listen to it. There are six songs I really like and really feel are stand-out tracks, both musically and lyrically, but on a double album.....that's not a whole lot. At least to me. Roger is such a brilliant and emotive lyricist and to me, those lyrics were too much self-indulgent psychotherapy, and too little abstractness. DSOTM -- WYWH -- Animals = Roger's greatest lyrical output. He said what he wanted to say, in a way that was both obvious and not obvious. That's what to me, made him such a genius at writing words.

I don't really get how you would like a rock opera (or any narrative story at all) to be abstract. Do you hate reading books for the same reason, then?

Did I say I hated reading books? I own close to 1,000. You don't own 1,000 of something you hate or have no particular use for.

I hate The Wall, you don't. Accept that and quit trying to figure out why I don't like it -- nothing I say will ever meet with your satisfaction or approval, not that I'm even particularly looking for either to start with.

Holy shit, calm down. Again. I'm just asking because I like to know people's opinions, and your opinion on The Wall's lyrics just happens to be one that confuses me.

There's no reason for you to be confused, though. There's nothing remotely confusing about Person A disliking something that Person B likes.
