RE:It is a difficult choice
I don't know that I have a clear cut favorite on Amused To Death. There are a few I can safely say are my least favorite but "The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range", "Watching TV", "Three Wishes", "What God Wants, Part I" are all such good songs filled with great phrases and lyrics.
I can easily say that "It's A Miracle" would be my least favorite of the release. That much I know for sure. As for a defined favorite.....
my mind cannot in this case, perceive such selfishness as to choose one over the other.

I have to go with Perfect Sense (although I like both parts together). It was the first song that resonated with me on the album. Plus it's chock full of imagery. I like the live version better because of the HAL stuff. Although the last song works for me too. I imagine something like the scenes of On the Beach in it.

Tough choice. Too Much Rope, Three Wishes and Amused to Death are the one I can listen to over and over. It's not just the words, I happen to like the tone of Rogers voice.

'It's a Miracle' ... an incomparably fine song that sums up Roger Waters' entire cynical-yet-eternally-hopeful philosophy. But I don't think the song can, or was ever intended, to stand alone. 'Amused to Death' is my second favorite song from the album, and each of these songs derives much of its power from its association with the other.

Of course, that is a Waters trademark, and I think the combination of "Miracle" and "Amused" is Waters' best use of the technique since he first introduced it on DSOTM with the pairing of "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse."

I'm fairly confident Waters is aware of that, too, and is why he has often performed those two exceptional pairings back-to-back.

I went for The Bravery of Being out of Range, too! What a fantastic, kick-ass protest song! For some weird reason, every time I hear this song, I get this big image of Dick Cheney in my mind: not exactly pleasant, but highly appropriate. "Old man what the hell you gonna kill next."

The Bravery of Being Out of Range is winning at the moment. This is the first one that hasn't been won by a landslide though so that is a good thing. Thumbsup

It's a tough one because there are so many good songs and it's hard to take out of context.

Yeah. I guessed that this would be the one containing the most controversy. Which is good in a way . . .
