Not really a criticism, but why not post more information?
For example, when someone simply posts: Pink Floyd - Have A Cigar, I`m tempted to say..."well so what?...you want a medal or something?"
To be fair, a lot of people do post a line or two extra..ie "great solo on this one", or "I really like this song because..."; but a hell of a lot of people don`t. Why not? The idea, surely, is to promote discussion.
It`s even stranger on the movie and book threads. How can one watch a whole movie, or get half-way through a book (even more bizarre) without even a one-line comment?

If PFO`ers want to take the time to publicise what they`re listening to/watching/reading, then why not at least say whether they think it`s any good or not? (it doesn`t have to be an in-depth critique).

Just an observation. Any connection with the subject of shallow "post-count boosting" is entirely coincidental.

Agreed. Good points. Make the posts more interesting to read with an extra line of info, when appropriate.

well done Phil....I like the added comments, especially to "currently listening to" because the others seem natural places for that, where "clt" is realtime...

I found this thread easy to follow. Everything is laid out in easily interpreted terms for the lame man and the lack of diversity in opinion was refreshing for once.

However the last poster displayed an atrocious lack of proper grammar, punctuation, and capitalization when it seemed most necessary.

I'm afraid I can only give this thread four stars out of a possible five. However I will check again to see if there is any improvement.

That would be nice but some movies & songs need no comments. If one says Key Largo, North By Northwest, The Birds, no comment needed. Bogart, Cary Grant, Alfred Hitchcock does very nicely

Fair comment, SGQ. It`s like my Bogey boxset: Casablanca/Maltese Falcon/The Big Sleep/Key Largo. They`re all such classics, little can be said about them that hasn`t already been said.
