I wouldn't care if it was the same set list. He came no where near here on his last cycle and I would love to see him perform live.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

That promo picture is really cool. In years past, would I've gone to see Rog?....no. I'd go see him perform DSOTM, WAY before I'd go see Him and his, "Wall." I can see why some of you would want him to have new material, don't get me wrong, but I'd be better watching him do something like this. Another point, Artists and vanity sneaky Could you ever think, that if Rog goes out, and does ( I think he will.) a little DSOTM tour, and it is well recieved, by fans and critics, it might, "prod," someone else into feeling the itch to respond in kindWhistling One thing I did see, in another thread, was someone questioned Dave's healthErmm He sure does seem to have aged alot in the last few years, I hope that dosen't end up being whats keeping him on a light work loadCrying

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river
Forever and ever.

same here Sydney...I'm not saying I wouldn't go, because I would, he was 2 hours away on his last "DSOTM" '07 tour...lol....and I didn't go because I don't like the venue he was playing...

as far as David's "light" workload...a new album with the tour that followed last year at his age? let's keep the perspective that they don't have to do anything and we all should be thankful for whatever they decide to do..and I'll refer to David's quote from the W1'sP show on the BBC..."It ain't gonna happen"

..jmho of course...Thumbsup

RE: 2008 Tour Dates
oh, I'm not slamming Dave, not even 1%. He's older than my DadLaughing In fact, our old man kicked out this yearInnocent you know how it goes, we look for any signals, of any chance, etc. But if he said its that firm? then I guess I'm one of the ones that need to grasp reality. My nine year old Son stopped buying into the Santa Clause thing this year. That effects me as a person WAY more than allowing myself to drift my mind into seeing 'Floyd play again. It isn't the worst mental diversion I could entertain myself with, but, diversions aside, Santa he ain't coming down the chimmney, and 'Floyd don't "owe" us anything. They've had an outstanding body of work for us to enjoy. They will have fans on the scale of classical composers , into the centuries. Not too shabby.

I would love to see a "Floyd" tour but I've resigned myself to getting a feeling that's never going to happen. I guess I can be content when Roger plays with NIck Mason and David Gilmour plays with Richard Wright.
