I know that all the vinyl copies I've got of WYWH have the burning man leaning FORWARD on the UK versions, and the US vinyl copies have him standing up straight.

I am a huge fan of this record, and have a collection of 65 (at last count!) copies of this on vinyl (diff. country presses, quad versions, diff types of covers etc). Although I haven't got the 'airplay' version that wet dream mentioned earlier - although if you ever want to sell it.... !

I should really give the other copies a look over as well and check them.

My most prized copy of this album is a completely sealed/unopened (in the original black wrap-around plastic) UK copy. It was bought in Sept 1975, so is a nice original copy. Thumbsup

65 well done,
How does your Jap pressing sound?
Sorry the Blue air play version is not for sale, but if you ever wish to sell your unopened black wrap-around copy, I can mortgage my house.Turned

The Japanese pressing sounds great - and is easily the copy I play the most. And it's also the copy I get out to play for people when they come round.

Fantastic warm sound, but with all the instruments sounding clear and vibrant - no CD will ever get close (maybe except the Mastersound Limited Edition CD, that does sound good).

But I would definitely recommend hunting down a copy of the Japanese pressing - you really won't regret it.

Plus it's also got a large size diver poster with it, which looks amazing! Thumbsup
Also was going to say:

Has anyone ever seen the unused photo that was taken for the WYWH cover that had a car (or truck, I'm not sure here) pulled over at the side of the road and with a newspaper somewhere in the photo about a rock star dying (if my memory is right here).

I am sure I have seen somewhere, or is my mind just playing tricks on me? !

Also, were there any other photos (apart from the diver in the sand) that were taken but not used for the album cover?

Thanks in advance for any help, or info you may have.

G'day,
Which Jap release do you have?
http://www.pinkfloydarchives.com/DJaLPPF.htm#WYWH2

I have the 2nd Jap issue 25AP1258. From memory it not my favorite, I'll have to give it another spin. It was a second hand LP and it did come with the poster.

Do you have the Israeli Green release.
