"They'd be wrong"?

The Division Bell is somewhat Pink Floyd-ish, because it at least sounds like Pink Floyd. A Momentary Lapse of Reason is a Gilmour album, just as much as The Final Cut is a Waters album.

Obscured By Clouds is awesome, but different. Not really typical for Pink Floyd, actually, and that's probably why not many people like it. Pink Floyd fans aren't necessarily blues fans, y'know. They want the thick plots, awesome lyrics, vicious guitar solos, dreamy sounds, and all that. There are only a few songs from Obscured By Clouds that fit that description. People who dislike Obscured By Clouds most often dislike it simply because it's not their cup of tea - not because they consider it to be bad.
(Its ending song is quite an awful choice, though. People who are used to Angel-Saxon music (which is pretty much everybody who listens to the Floyd) usually can't stand its ending.)

That's right. If it was Pink Floyd when Roger gave Rick the boot, then it's Pink Floyd when Roger chose to go walking.

I don't want to get into a pissing match with you about this because obviously we reside on different ends of the PF spectrum when it comes to certain things, but I've always found it hypocritical when people (not necessarily you) feel that Roger Waters is Pink Floyd and his absence from the group from 1985 onward somehow meant that the band ceased to exist........yet never felt anything was remiss when Rick was given the heave-ho in 1979. All of them were instrumental to the band's sound that we know and love. Yes, even Nick. To say that any one person is the group is devaluing everything else that everyone else contributed.

So yeah, AMLoR and The Division Bell are Pink Floyd albums just like The Final Cut is a Pink Floyd album. You don't have to like any of those records for whatever reason, but call them like they are -- PF albums.

Well, you've stated before that you do not consider The Final Cut to be a real Pink Floyd album. Seeing that statement and your previous post coming from one person is sheer fanboyism. It makes sense now that you say you've changed your mind on the The Final Cut part, though. Either you consider all three to be Pink Floyd, or you consider none of them to be. I thought your opinion was something in between.

If you think I'm a "fanboy" you know jack and $%^@ about me and I would ask you to refrain from slandering me in such ways. Because to me, calling someone a "fanboy" is slander and I won't tolerate it.

All three albums are PF albums. What I have said is that The Final Cut doesn't sound like a Pink Floyd album because it's so dominated by Roger's personal psychotherapy sessions and Rick, who is vital the band's sound, was gone. For me, the sound of the band is partly tied up in Rick's keyboards and organ work. Something can be something and not sound like it at the same time. For example, Face Dances is a Who album. It doesn't sound like a Who album because Keith Moon had died and wasn't playing on it but it's still a Who album.

Their Satanic Majesties Request is one of the least favourite album the Stones ever released. As the only semi psychedelic album they ever made, and the only album that does them out of their blues country, and hard rock sphere, it is also the album more worst that they have ever produced.

Seriously, calm down already. The whole point of my post was that you had clarified yourself after saying something that had confused me.

IMO: The Final Cut is one of the better Pink Floyd albums. The amount of passion that was obviously put into the album continues to surprise on each listen. It might not have Ricks Organ, or Rhythm by Gilmour but for what its worth It touches my heart.

Honestly, The Post Breakup albums arent so bad its ASFOS that gets me as being garbage.

I agree that TFC is a VERY passionate album and also very personal. It's the musical content I find boring, so much so that I still can't tell the songs apart. I've really tried to like it, but alas, it's not my cup of tea.
But then again, neither is ASFOS, other than Set the Controls, Let there be more light and Remember a Day.
