Division Bell Vinyl (blue)
Hey, does anyone know how rare the blue vinyl version of Division Bell is? I would have thought it would be pretty rare considering it was released in 1994 (not sure if these are reissues).

On ebay, there are some of these being sold, so I am wondering what the story is with this release. Havn't seen it in stores anywhere. Just on ebay etc.

thanks! -BP

I doubt that there are any reissues of this album. I'm pretty sure it was released in only a handfull of countries, the U.S. being one, as well as Brazillian copies which are a darker tint of blue than the U.S.
there was also a Korean double L.P. which contained the whole album unedited. its possible there are releases from other countries as well, not sure which. all in all, its a pretty rare Floyd release considering L.P.'s were no longer mass released by '94. I have an american copy that comes in a gatefold sleeve, single L.P. transparent blue. very pretty.

U.K. blue Division Bell
Hey, so today I bought a blue vinyl division bell GREAT DEAL for 30$ with the lyric insert and the cover has almost no wear what soever and I noticed the vinyl titling (the concert of the record which usually has the song list and name of album) did not have anything on it except for colourful designs on each side. Is that normal? Also Its a U.K. record (says on the front: "EMI united kingdom" rocker ) does this have to do with it? it doesn't even say which side is side one so i had to experiment to find out xD anyone familiar with this wonder? xD

Yes, the designs on the label (that's what they're called) for each side are normal. No, the fact that it is from the UK has nothing to do with it. I have a US pressing, and it's the same thing. It does say which side is which, you have to look along the top arc of each label, and it will tell you. The color of the writing is white, or at least very light, which makes it hard to read, but it's there.

ya the label! sorry I was having a mind fart there. Well on my label the white print that goes around the label is copyright statements although there is a number printed on (on both sides) and there is an A and B on the sides (just noticed it) which is side A and side B but there no song list. Is there normally a song list?

Normally yes, there's a song list on an album's label, but there isn't on this one. If your copy still has the original inner sleeve, the tracklisting for each side is on it, along with lyrics and credits.

Ok that makes sense. I do have the tracklisting insert. I like how they put art work on it instead of the bland often white and black list of songs and stuff. It gives it character and the blue vinyl just tops it! Its my most precious album :)
