I don't really want to sound like anyone in particular but can someone give me a rough idea of the best pedals for each effect please?

Everything is a little pricey... but its totally worth it.

Overdrive/Fuzz = Electro Harmonix Rams Head Muff Or Sovtek Russian Triangle Muff
Power Booster / Tone Booster = Boss Bd2 Or Bk Butler Tube Driver
Eq Pedal = Boss Ge7 Or Alesis Parametric Rack Eq
Compressors = Boss Cs 2 Or Dynacomp Or Dermiter Compulator
Delays = T-rex Replica Or Boss DD 4 Or Wem Copycat Echo Or Ibanex D7
Phaser/Univibe = Electro Harmonix Small Stone Phase Shifter Or The New Boss One Ph1 I Think
Flanger = Electro Harmonix Mistress - The Old Ones the Deluxe Reissues Are Terrible Or Again The New Boss Series Fh1- But Mod It Too True Bypass As It Really Sucks The Tone Outta Your Signal.

Only the vintage stuff the Reissues are awfull they sound nothing like the original's and really lack your tone.
