origional is way better. the space parts and the computerized pompeii on echoes part 2 sucked. also echoes part 1 when it switched from live to studio really ruined it. some of the interviews are pointless and bored me to tears.

I liked the new footage (except the new space motif) It was good to see the boys having a laugh.

Yeah the best thing about Pompeii was a young Floyd doing some great classics before they gained stardom and the extra footage of them laying around, chilling. Shame there's not more of this!

ORIGINAL VERSION IS THE BEST.......Don't like the new shots. However I do like the new addition of the black and white interviews.

Original is by far the best

The director's cut becomes a lot more interesting (and "welcome") once you've seen the director's thoughts behind it.

The Director's Cut has both. It is kind of updated, but I am glad they left the option of seeing the original.

As much as the performances are great, the interviews are legendary. I mean, they're all stoned except Rick, and you can see the gears behind their eyes turning as they try to answer the questions and sound somewhat coherent at the same time.
