i love roger too... but i dont know ALL the facts so i get the idea from a few possibly biased media outlets that roger was fairly egotistical and ignorant towards rest of the band... like i watched a youtbe vid in the 80s and all the band members were bagging him after he just left ... rick even said he walked out coz of him.
can anyone justify... coz i dont want to really hold it against him, still love the guy anyway i kno this is about rick, he rocks :) but were allowed to change topics

ive googled it and cant see any of the photos of david when he did the modelling... if youve got them or have seen them let me know, would be interesting to see

During The Wall sessions especially, yeah.
Rick quit/went on vaction to get away from it.
Which probably caused Roger to want to fire him
But in those aspects, Roger was slightly egotistical.

yeahh.... well being a very non-egotistical (spl?) person, i dont know, i just dont really like believeing they were stuck up hahahaha how stupid does that sound. BUT all performing artists have to have an ego to want to be able to tell all their stories and show off their art to the world - and thankgod they did :) so yeah i can see rogers must have got in the way at times. no matter what each of us here know, at the end of the day none of us know them personally, so u never can tell i spose.

To bring some more serious discussion...

I've heard/read/seen it mentioned couple of times that Rog's and Rick's bad relationships had long history. It's not like they were at each others throats before Animals tour but they had never been best friends.

As nice and charming Rick looks like he could be huge prick sometimes in the early days - even Dave acknowledges this.

Big part of Roger's and Rick's bad relationship were looks actually. Rick was favourite of the ladies in addition to Syd and there was jealousy towards Rick from Roger's part.

Rog was hulking giant with big nose and not so great personality. Rick was charming cutie eyed bastard. Plus Roger was bassist. Just how could he possibly compete against Rick?

you know how the beatles were veryyy promiscious behind stage, i wonder how bad the boys of floyd were? like paul mccartney would have got so many women pregnant! they all did, and bouncer like men had to hush all the girls up with money. everywhere they went every show they did theyd all have a girl or two afterwards.
