I would love to see this one. I love that song.

One of my very favorite Floyd tracks, however, and it's been a while since I've listened to it so correct me if I'm wrong, isn't there kind of a minimum of guitar work on that particular piece? Seems odd Dave would choose to perform it (I mean, as a guest of Ron Geesin it fits, but an instrumental with very little guitar playing, seems like he'll be standing in the center doing nothing for about 24 minutes).

Reading this tread I had a very bizzare thought, knowing the connection between Floyd and Douglas Adams has anyone else noticed the similarities between parts of Atom Heart Mother and HitchHikers main theme? Or am I totally mad

it would be a crime if no one filmed it.
i would love to go see david on stage but for 55 quid id rather wait and see a full show.

The only other Atom Heart Mother live track I've ever heard was that one that just recently surfaced from some guy's closet.

In David does perform it, I'll be very surprised if someone doesn't record/film it.

Well, all Floyd have been harsh on AHM, especially Dave

I just find it very weird he is willing to do this, considering AHM Suite isn't very good in his (and mine) opinion

What a trip! Who woulda thunk? I thought that this thread was a joke when I first saw it, but it's way too late for April Fools.

Geesin should invite Rick along for the ride. Actually, he might as well invite Roger and Nick, too, although the latter two pretty much butchered the rhythm track on the original!

I kinda like AHM... pretty much a failed experiment, but an interesting failure nonetheless.
