I had a friend who used to finish off the last few pickled onions in the jar and then drink the vinegar, not in one shot. He'd sit there and sip it. He also used to take tiny nibbles of his food, never seen anything like it before or since.

Pickle brine and vodka, actually, is delicious. And cures hangovers.
