RE: Gilmour, Waters and Mason's Statements on Wright

Syd of course was the spark that ignited Roger, Nick, Rick and David as well.
There's nothing like a young band of four or five people clicking together and having a common ground to make beautiful music with each other.
.............that's what life's about, man! Seriously, the first time you rehearse a new band is like falling in love.

RE: Gilmour, Waters and Mason's Statements on Wright
If there is anychance David, Roger and Nick would read this. i must thank Rick for givin me Inspiration. i remember at the age of 5 watching Pink Floyd DSOT i was deaf at the time, but when i heard the first i heard was Ricks Keyboard followed by David. you guys basicly gave me a purpose in my life, to do music, you're Saints to me. but im not going to go overboard. but you can understand when you guys were the first thing i have ever heard, i would be gracious. thanx to you i feel the music and the depth that comes with it. to Hear that rick died, just knocked me down, and i know i never knew the guy, but i heard his music, he came first in my hearing. if i could do more to say goodbye other than this, believe i would. but i owe Pink Floyd my gratitude the 4 members that awakened me to what music really is and gave me purpose i will never forget. so dont think for a second Dave and all the rest that his death goes silent. it will live for a generation to come, a name, a plaque that says "the greatest Musical genious to have ever lived". we didnt lose a man, we lost a Saint, and that is what he is. so Thankyou Pink Floyd for giving me the very thing i treasure most of all, The Music. To be honest i think to hear Pink Floyd the first time after deafness, is a very good place to be on the Road filled with Music. and no i dont build a shrine, or go crazy all the time the names mentioned, this is only way (i hope) that the floyd will notice me. Thank You Pink Floyd and R.I.P. Rick Wright. Shine on and rest in the Great Gig In The Sky.
Your fan Michael Martelette.

RE: Gilmour, Waters and Mason's Statements on Wright
The first time i ever listened to Pink Floyd was when i was around 12 years old. And i bought Dark Side of the Moon (like everyone else) :)
And it was Ricks soothing keyboard and piano work that always stuck with me, this hauntingly sweet and heartbreakingly beautiful sound like no other.
R.I.P. my friend...
