RE: New Camera
I do like the blur in the props, but I'm not sure I can hold the camera steady enough to keep blur from other things. Anyways, in a little over two weeks we are going to have 8 B-17's, 2 B-24's and a bunch of other planes. Can't wait.

You full frame sensor guys have all the advantages. Don't you? Born with a silver spoon in your mouth.
Just hacking on ya.

A friend of mine called a few days ago to tell me he was flying into Oshkosh and can he borrow a tent. Didn't call to invite me to fly with them to Oshkosh but can he borrow a tent.
So I gave him our "bad luck" tent that let's in Mosquitos and snakes and received damage from seperate raccoon and bear attacks. "Yeah better set it up under a wing 'cause if it rains it's gonna leak."
No. I gave him one of our good tents. But if he had asked to borrow a camera...

RE: New Camera
Just playing around with an old manual Sears 28mm lens. Although it is 1:4 macro, it really has a short distance to subject focus. Let's you get pretty close to your subject making things seem larger than a 1:4 ratio. Even stopped down in close focus, macro the depth of field is very shallow. I know the thing does not work properly but I cannot figure out what is wrong. Plus the effects the lens creates in what is out of focus in the scenes is just yummy to me.

RE: New Camera
Tons of new updates on my blog because I went to an airshow this weekend and have been spending the past couple weeks boatwatching. Of the airshow pics, this was probably my favorite.
What do you think?

If you are asking for true criticism, I have to say I'd rather you step back about ten feet and get more of the nose in there. Or closer and concentrate on either the engine and a few blades or the fuselage and pin-up girl or nose and pin-up.
But that's just me.
I'd love to borrow a fisheye when I have a day to photograph at an airshow. Maybe this week I will drive over to Forbes Field Topeka, Kansas with the kids and get some of my desires somewhat softened.

that picture was pretty much the only one I could get without some jackass (not you) standing in front of me....
anyways, my 50D is off to the shop and I'm using my mom's 40D in the meantime.
