Well probably because you are still young, impressionistic and uncertain of your direction.
Either that or you are doing drugs and cannot find a purpose outside of drugs and video games.
Both are just guesses of course.
Are you not taking photography in school this year? You put it aside already?
I hope you find something interesting to challenge yourself and have fun with.

I really like this Sigma 28-300.

This guy is lucky he was behind a fence otherwise I would have torn him limb from limb for hissing at my wife.

RE: New Camera
Amongst my diversions last night, I was trying to get some lightning strikes. This was the better of the captures. A 20 second exposure.

But you mark my words lightning! I will return again with a much sturdier tripod and under more favorable conditions. And you shall be captured! Oh, yes. You shall be captured.

These were my primary interests last night standing suspiciously on a highway overpass in the dark of the late evening.

RE: New Camera
I did some portraiture for some friends this weekend and still have not sorted them. We will list our house for sale soon also and I took photos for that and lined out the good ones yesterday. I just used a couple small flash units on wireless triggers. A few umbrella flashes would have been nice and I struggled to keep the shots more or less basic. Just shoot wide and make the entire room interesting. I really wanted to
get close and see details or use shadows and natural light. Things people may find bothersome when house hunting online.
Now I need to bear down and get through these portraits and get them out so I can go back to having fun with photography again.
And the silly neck strap lug pulled out of my K-7. Luckily it was not hanging from my neck when it happened. The camera is still under warranty and has been sent for repair. So I will use my K10 only in the meanwhile.

Photography is a junior class (where I am a sophmore) and I think I'm going to the off-campus tech/trade school for welding next year, but we'll see how everything works out. God damn photography is seriously so trendy now it's crazy.
Every girl and lots of guys have big crazy expensive Nikon and Cannon DSLRs and they think they're Ansel freakin Adams.

It takes more than a good camera to be Ansel Adams. You've either got the eye or you don't. Of course you can develop the eye. I've seen decent pictures taken with a camera phone.

Yes. It does not matter what kind of pots and pans you use it is still up to the cook to make the dish. Give two people the same ingredients or even the most expensive cookware and the one with the knowledge and talent will make a much tastier dessert.

I think Simon Barsinister was behind the recent snow events. My area only got a foot of snow. (which is the most snowfall in a 12 hour period we have seen in a few decades)

Hey check out this roll of film I just happened to have found in the snow as I just happened to be walking in the park and happened to look down. Help me find the owner of these images. I think they are visiting from Europe.
