Here's mine. I not a big fan of this sort of thing, & he's about as wrong as one could get. Page is a genius. Both he & Clapton are guitar gods. Clapton maybe smoother, but as an overall songsmith & music creator Page has created masterworks,( Kasmir, Dazed & Confused-live version), that Clapton could never pull off. Layla is a masterpiece as well. But Page went into much more diverse musical terrain offering Morroccan & Indian stylings. He was sometimes sloppy live, but still an awesome musician. Cream 10 times the band Zeppelin was? Absurd. I think Bruce will probably get some sour grapes for saying what he did. & I wonder what does he gain from it?

Page was also the more accomplished accoustic player.

Aww. Now I like Cream even less than I did before.

Also, Clapton and Page are in two completely different leagues as guitarists. Clapton's the more bluesy wailer, and is most certainly accomplished at that, but Page, while also taking an enormous influence from the blues, mixed it with more exotic influences and created a far more unique and, in my opinion, enjoyable experience. His solos, while sometimes a bit wanky, were always enjoyable, and his riffs were top-notch, as is typical of the Big Three of Proto-Metal (along with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath). So, yeah, I personally favour Page over Clapton, but that doesn't mean I hate Clapton. In fact, he's probably my favourite white blues guitarist, next to Jeff Beck.

Oh, and Jack Bruce was always kind of a jerk. It's a shame, because by saying that, people are going to truly revile and despise Cream for no particular reason.

Cream lasted what? 5 albums and basically the 60's and maybe early 70's? Led Zeppelin created more albums, had more albums go near the top of the charts have now spanned from the 60's to now. Jimmy Page has been in Zeppelin and a few others.

I've heard of Jimmy Page....the only name from Cream I remember is Clapton. Hmm....

He really has nothing to say in the here & now. I saw Cream's reunion on tv, they had none of their original power. Even Joe Perry mentioned as much.

I may be the only one, but I agree with Jack Bruce. Aside from Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy, I really couldn't be bothered to listen to Led Zeppelin at all. They have a lot of material that I simply can't accept as being artistically great so much as it is just really popular.

Comes a time that you just let old people say crazy things, just nod in agreement in a friendly way, and give them a free pass based on the merits of their own accomplishments.

That's what you do with Jack Bruce.

One thing in Cream's favour is that they did at least credit the authors of the blues songs they covered, as opposed to Jimmy's habit of taking credit for the work of both American blues singers and UK folk acts - a habit he started while in The Yardbirds.

None of which excuses Jack's outburst, of course. It was probably Eric's idea, anyway.

Why the hell would it be Eric's idea for Jack Bruce to criticise Led Zep?
