useless trivia, liam howlett (prodigy) & pink floyd
kinda interesting, my brother just sent me this link, he said it sounded like dave's voice on the ALMOR album, and it's true

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGkn8wLo1...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGkn8wLo1nI&featu

i can't stand this noisey rave nonesense but it appears the newmachine (??) is sampled here? makes me wonder what else he robbed from pink floyd albums.
isn't their cover a face stretching out of a grey wall? (cant remember which album, not the crab one) JUST like the wall 1982 movie cartoon bit. don't have a picture but you all know the face stretching out of wall thingy lol

Na dude .... The Prodigy are one of my favourite electronic artists.
There sound is unique like everyone else you can hear something and immediately think its them and youd be right.
Most of the original songs did have samples in because it equivantely was just a mix tape made up of Liams own creations blended in with vocal samples and percusion from other tracks.

So in conclusion to your question yeh the prodigy did use alot of vocal samples but they never stole anything.
Its like that Eric Prydz Vs Pink Floyd thing all over again.

I like that Firestarter song, but apart from that, I'm pretty unfamiliar with The Prodigy. They sound alright.

I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing

hey pinkfloydfan1, i completely forgot they did firestarter haha, it's aged a bit.

by the way i was listening to related linked YT videos, came across somthing called 'weather experience', it sounds like the submarine "sonar" ping noise (heard in Echo's and Hey you) is sampled in it. seems like the liam dude was a fan of floyd.
