What I don't get, is that they use this forum for it without any reason to do so. I'm a computer scientist myself; I know many experiments require exploitation of public websites and other things. The person who makes all those bots is probably trying to make a program that makes "intelligent" posts based on the content that was posted in the thread so far. But if I was that person, I'd just save all these posts to my own server instead of actually posting them. That would give the same results to whatever it is he's trying, and it wouldn't annoy us at all.
