I think I read somewhere that his family wanted to keep everything private as it was also Rick's request, I'm split on this one, sure it would be nice for the fans to visit but at the same time I understand that the family don't want a load of people stampering around on what should be a peaceful spot which is why monuments are better, they are purpose built for us folk to celebrate and remember, maybe a plaque of some sort in the village green at his birth place would be nice and us uglies can visit and pay our respects.
