I listened to the whole album in it's entirety (without When The Tigers Broke Free). I havn't listened to the WHOLE album as loud as I did today, and I gotta say: great album. I really like how the first 2 songs start the song off especially "Your Possible Pasts" which has a beautiful solo, and sounds like a song off The Wall. Then it goes to emotional songs like "Paranoid Eyes" "Gunners Dream" and "Fletcher Memorial Home". Then it ends with "The Final Cut" "Not Now John" and "Two Suns in the Sunset" which just end on an emotional high.

I recently bought The Division Bell and I actually think that's also an underrated album. I like it better than this, and David's voice is SO smooth. And Wright gets to write alot of the music, and gets to wright his own song (Wearing the Inside Out) great albums this and TDB are. What do you guys think!? :unclesam:

The Final Cut is a different album because even though I don't think it quite sounds like Pink Floyd's best, I can't stop listening to it! The songs are addictive....but I did just buy TDB and absolutley love it, especially Marooned and Cluster One ( the insturmentals, for some reason). Shows just what good mucisians they are-- Dave's guitar rocks more than ever in this one.

I got TFC the week it came out in 1983, and I have alway's thought it was great , regardless what people say about it, and I HAVE COME TO REALISE that not all of us get it.....but for the people that do, the connection is very intense, and on an emotional level, very ,very personal.....

I get it, I just think it is weak musically compared to many of their other albums, in fact almost all of their other albums. Lyrically still strong, but an album needs more than that I feel. The subject matter is not diverse for my liking too. Just because so many don't like it, doesn't mean we don't understand it.

I am not saying that you don't understand it..... you just don't respond to it on the same emotional level as others do .....My guess is (could be wrong) that you feel the same way about ''Amused To Death'' which I feel is absolutely brilliant......everyone has different tastes....

I find both albums mono-tonal, they don't have enough musical depth to them. I do like certain tracks, but many others sound more like filler tracks than works of art in their own right.

I love both TFC and TDB. Great albums.

Favorite songs off of each..."The Hero's Return" and "What Do You Want From Me?"

Ya, "What Do You Want From Me" is an awesome jazz/rock ballad. "Marooned" is great, "Coming Back To Life" is AWESOME, "High Hopes" is my favorite song on the CD. So emotional "The grass was greener. The light was brighter" I love that song! "Keep Talking, Wearing the Inside Out" all great.

TFC is great too. WYWH is still my favorite album!

Yep, TDB was so much better than TFC, it sounded almost like a true four man floyd album.
