I love  The Final Cut.
The Gunner's Dream is in my top 10 PF songs

I don't hate Division Bell.

Pink Floyd (Live 8, London) - 2. 7. 2005.
Roger Waters (Locarno, Switzerland) - 16. 6. 2006.
Roger Waters (Budapest, Hungary) - 14. 4. 2007.

I agree with Steve on this one, The Final Cut lyrically is very strong, but musically it seems like Roger wanted (and got) a minmalist approach

Good way of putting it Kimbers, if you saw the mess in my room and the hundreds of CD's on my wall, you'd realise I'm not too keen on the minimalist approach. :)

Yeah I think both are great. TDB is the first PF album I came in contact with, and is my favorite. The music is very strong on this album, while not as strong lyrically... but still not bad. Final Cut is the complete opposite with Roger's stronger lyrics and weaker music. One album you get the sense of darkness and depression, and the other is more of a happy, feel good album. The big difference between the two is why I like them both. :;):

No.

Many Floyd fans love it, and it's wank. Dave's voice is in poor shape throughout.

hehehehe, you should see my ROIO collection, I have notebooks of notes trying to keep up with what I have and what I don't, especially with Zep, they have so many different recordings from the same damn show! :p drives me crazy to get something "new" and find out two mos later I already have that show...poor me, lol

Anyway, I really like the Final Cut, but I think younger fans like The Division Bell because they were introducedto Floyd with that album, wheras, people who were grtting into Floyd arond the time of the wall or before tend not to like TDB as well.... not always the case but I think there is a correlation...Only my opinion, I haven't done a study.....

So very true. Thank you.

No, it's quite underrated. It's my 5th favorite under their "main 4" (Meddle, WYWH, Animals, Dark Side of the Moon) while most would probably have it at #7-9.
