AMLOR is way better live!
The studio is good, but the energy the live performance creates is astounding. A huge difference.
Also, everytime I hear the solos of CNumb (by Gilmour, not a surrogate guitarist) in a live version I get goose bumps.
The RTN version of Echoes is absolutely fantastic and Fat Old Sun from that same gig is the best one ever.
The version of Shine On... from part VI that David does in the Meltdown concert is astounding.

Absolutely. It's a great studio album, and one of my favorites, but the songs live on DSOT are just 10x more amazing.

Comfortably Numb lives shits all over the studio version, no offense intended. It doesn't matter whether it's live from The Wall tour or future tours, both with Pink Floyd and then when Roger and David went solo.....live it is about a squillion times better.

Same with Young Lust, Run Like Hell, Goodbye Blue Sky, Hey You and The Thin Ice.

Young Lust Live = Young Lust Studio

One isn't better than the other.

Its funny that we all have different opinions I think the live version of young lust is a little bit worse then the studio. Another brick in the wall part 2 is MUCH~~~~~~! better live. Also I like In the Flesh better live and Run Like Hell.

Also ive noticed that I like AMLOR a LOT more live.

I've found that Learning to Fly is much more powerful live than studio, especially when put to the footage from that one concert used in the Learning to Fly music video.

The songs from Ummagumma sound much better than the studio versions, but all other Floyd live albums sound exactly the same as the studio ones. It's like, basically they just took the original versions and added lots of people screaming in the background. Goddamn money-hungry cheapskates.

I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing

I cant say I agree with that at all. Is There Anybody Out There? puts The Wall to shame in my opinion. Also AMLOR is filled with so much energy live. I can barely listen to Sorrow or Learning to Fly (studio) without thinking about how much more i like the live better.

I agree - most of AMLOR is better live than on the studio album. They're still great songs, but the energy and the rawness of those performances is what makes them better.

That's why I said for example, Young Lust live was better than the album version. David's vocals and guitar on Is There Anybody Out There? is 10x better than what's on The Wall. That's not saying what's on The Wall sucks or something, just that live....there's that little extra something.
