I think it's hysterical that all the birthdays for today at the bottom of the page are banned spambots.

RE: The Notebook v. 3.0
As a birthday present, my sister's friends and I are going to write her a book. It's not going to be dedicated TO her, it's going to be FOR her. This will be very interesting. I'm trying to write this down...I have so many pictures in my head, but I just can't seem to find the right words to express them.

Today, I have spent a few minutes wondering why people care so much about post count on forums. As always, I haven't come up with an answer.

Whenever I make a post, add the modulus of e to the power of the product of i and pi to my counter.

I don't know why people care either, but I figure as long as their reasons don't involve me, it's all gravy. Maybe some people like watching the numbers go up, like an odometer on their car. Maybe they think more posts equals board supremacy. I think that one is silly myself, but to each their own I suppose.

Me, I just thought hitting 7,000 posts was kind of cool. Kinda nice to think I've been around here that long.

Oh, I wasn't talking about you. Biggrin
There's this other forum where I post -- a gaming forum -- and there are several people on there who have over 100,000 posts, some with 80 posts per day by average for several years. You made one post about your 7000th posts "achievement", but those people seem to celebrate each of those landmarks... It's annoying. :P

Yeah, that's a trifle on the annoying side. I don't know why people do that. It's one thing if you hit 100,000 posts and make a crack like, "Wow, 100K! Damn, I need a life", and make fun of yourself, and another to think that it actually means something in the grand scheme of things.

Been trying to discover the roots of the genres I like...they seem to be going back to Electronic, post-punk, jazz and psychedelic influences.
