Piggy-backing off Paul's post of their set at Live 8, here are some other great PF concert moments that deserve more attention than they get.

Live at KQED San Francisco -- April 29th, 1970

The album More had some success in the States, which allowed them to tour here twice, but while they were in SF, they filmed a one hour set at the station's studios; they played the Fillmore that evening and the most well-known boot from that show is Interstellar Fillmore. It's a scaled-down set for sure, seeing as how the TV station's studio isn't their normal live set-up. Great performances, though -- especially Cymbaline and Grantchester Meadows.


Live in San Tropez -- August 8th, 1970

The audio and video are out of sync in some places, but it's the only filmed performance of The Embryo and the performance of Atom Heart Mother isn't half-bad either.

I love the WQED version of Grantchester Meadows. When David sings the refrain, it bring chills down my spine.

What's amazing is that it's one of their best live sets but hardly anyone talks about it. It's not their normal live set-up seeing as it's a TV studio and not a concert stage, but the simplicity of that is what makes the songs so well-performed. Just another reason out of many I'm proud to be a Floydian.
