I heard thunder at my house and knew a storm was on the way. I turned on the Weather Channel and it got to the part where they show the radar and forecast. I was talking to my sister when I suddenly recognized something and just screamed "SHUT UP!!". Much to my surprise, the Weather Channel was playing "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" . Any one else ever hear Pink Floyd on the Weather Channel?

Yeah they've been playing it for awhile. Also, I've heard Mihalis from David's first solo album. Now there's something to get excited about!


I just heard Terminal Frost, too, on the Local on The 8's!

Wow, I gotta start watching the Weather Channel more often. I'm actually far more intrigued to hear Mihalis than any Floyd, just because the stuff from David's solo work gets NO attention.

My ears always prick up when I hear a Floyd song or one of their solo songs on TV. With the current financial crisis "Money" gets its airing every now and then on news reports and financial programmes.
I was watching the movie "The Box" with Cameron Diaz recently,its set in the 1970's and during a scene set in a car "Fearless" from the Meddle album plays on the radio!

I don't think I've ever heard Pink Floyd on TV unless what I was watching was about the band. I think I'd probably squee myself to death if I did. LOL
