your friends don't like Pink Floyd? then they must be incredibly sad. wht kind of music do they listen to? my friends who hated PF used to listen to stuff like Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Busted, and all that chart crap.

All I can say is, one day they will realize how empty and meaningless the music they listen to is. They will hunger for songs that say something and give them a warm fuzzy. They will find Floyd...and all will be right in the world.

I only have friends with the same musical interests as me...but my ol' lady likes hip hop. She likes Floyd too, so I overlook that flaw.

I can't believe what so many people are saying here. Just because some people don't agree with us in admiration for this band, it doesn't mean they are wrong or sad, it just means they don't like the music.

I know most people here like Curry, I don't. Does that make me wrong? Does that mean I'm sad or boring? No, it just means I don't like curry. I will even take on board people's criticisms of some of my favourite albums as long as they are thought out and not just dismissive without reason. I say that, as usual, each person is an individual with their own tastes and preferences. Let them be.

Right... STYX are the bomb and this seems like a great time to invite you to outside the wall to debate with you...

And you can't blame young people for not liking Floyd at first... They are an acquired taste in every way...

Mr. Hill, you are one of the few people here who seems to look through diffrent perspectives before posting.

Thank you, I try to be objectionable in everything I say.

I was just talking to wowser on msn and it struck me that there are a lot of people that want everyone to become robotic sheep that all like the same things and not express opinion, very much like the sheep that Roger sings against in the famous Animals song. It's amazing how some people want everyone to like the same as they do and they say they are trying to stand out from the crowd and not be another sheep, especially since Roger sings against them.

I know, right? People just can never look at an opposing view unless it comes straight to them and pulls no punches. Most people I know (even my Bruthas) you can't be nice to. You hafta be a jerk to get your point across.
