RE: A few questions regarding "The Wall" on vinyl

They could easily have fit that onto side 2 without significantly compromising the sound quality. Especially if they'd dropped some of the pointless non-musical passages. I'm thinking here specifically of the 'Wanna take a baaaath?' into to OOMT - and the whole of DLMN, come to think of it.

Don't Leave Me Now is the best song on the album. ):
Call me a safe bet,
I'm betting I'm not.
I'm glad that you can forgive,
I'm only hoping as time goes
You can forget.

That's a little harsh, 'Leccy. Which six songs would they be, then?
I would guess:
In The Flesh
Mother
Young Lust
ABITW part 3
Hey You
Comfortably Numb
Waiting For the Worms. (For the 'weak people', LOL)
crap, that's seven....
Nope, not even close.
The Thin Ice
Hey You
Goodbye Blue Sky
Young Lust
Run Like Hell
Comfortably Numb
I can't stand The Wall, aside from those songs. Roger's self-masturbatory wanking about his father and ego issues make it nearly unlistenable to me and I absolutely loathe and detest The Final Cut. I'd rather listen to Atom Heart Mother.
So no, it's not harsh. It's my opinion.
Hey dude Its good to hear you actually like some of the album and that you actually listen to other pinkfloyd but honestly this is a great album. My question is would you pay the money to go to a concert of the wall and only listen to 6 of the songs performed? Same for a record would you buy the whole record and not listen to the rest? I think you should be more open to different styles or music including the unique style found in .

RE: A few questions regarding "The Wall" on vinyl
1. I'm not a dude.
2. I was born in 1982, so there's no way I could have seen it as performed by the whole band, and I can't afford to see it performed by Roger by himself, although I would have liked to when he came to Atlanta, because that's the closest he played to where I'm living now. Yes, I would go see it even though I only like six songs, just to say that I had. Again, I was unable to. It's not the end of the world.
3. I bought the record because I wanted to own it, and because there was more than one song on it I liked, and therefore didn't see it as a wasted investment.
4. I am plenty open to different styles of music, not liking The Wall doesn't mean I'm not.

When I said dude i meant it in a gender neutral way :P hm why don't you like the rest of the wall???? Sometimes i will listen to parts of it and I will actually find songs I never thought I liked and found it to be amazing. For example I never listened to Dont leave me now. It just creeped me out and I skipped it. But then one day I bothered to hear the whole thing and discovered the awesome ending it has!
Roger Waters - The Wall Live. December 12th, 2011. Second Comfortably Numb guitar solo= best moment of my life!
