Today's the release day in the UK for Metallic Spheres, so I hope any British Floydians who frequent this site can give it a listen and tell us what they think.

I'm listening to this now, and i swear its some of the most amazing music i have ever heard! i am praying sooo bad he tours! i have never seen him live!

I've finally gotten a chance to listen to it -- I downloaded it from iTunes while I await the shipment of my vinyl.

Holy crap is this good. Like, really good. On one hand you think that a pairing like this would make sense, and on the other it sounds absurd to think that an ambient electronic group would work with a blues-rock guitarist like David. However, it works. It really, really works. The best way I can describe David's guitar work on this album is "swirling". It flows in and out of each track and back and forth and around again, almost like someone wrapping tinsel around a Christmas tree. You get a circular feeling when you listen to it. It's really quite amazing and yes I know I've used the word "really" a lot so far.

I highly suggest picking it up, either the CD, vinyl or mp3 download -- whatever. It's a great compliment to your David Gilmour/Pink Floyd collection.

this is the 5th time i'm listening to it! absoultely love it! its sooo calming and beautiful!

Bought the c.d today. Just waiting fo the hairs on the back of my neck go down.

Has anyone else gotten a chance to listen to it? What do you think? I still think it's a phenomenal record -- if David doesn't do another solo album, I'd love for him to do more stuff like this.
