The trick that Waters does at the beginning of "Time" is AMAZING!

I had always imagined the sound to be a keyboard or metronome sample or something...when i saw that, i couldn't believe it...

...another example of Pink Floyd's ability to stretch simplicity using subtle techniques, like a guitar pick plucking the strings, whilst palm muting past the fretboard.....very simple but oh so sweet!!!!!!!!!!

hehe, I don't think I thought about or got the name until now...

I'm guessing "BritRowBrickCo" has something to do with The Wall. aka "bricks"?

Back to the original message, another cool inovation was the sonar sound at the start of echoes. Does everyone know its simply Wright striking a highnote on a piano, with a bit of a reverb effect?

Roger's finest bass hour has to be the wonderful riff on One of These Days. The delay effect just makes it perfect. I mean a song like that hasn't been written before or since. Its bloody genious!

I'm not a "Meddle" freak by the way, they were just the examples that popped into my head.

That "reverb effect" was accomplished by running the sound of the piano into a Leslie speaker. A Leslie is traditionally used to give the Hammond organ its distinctive "swirly" sound. Basically, the Leslie is similar to a tornado/air raid siren. The "horn" rotates, creating that sound.
