Live footage of 70's PF on YouTube
The first set of links is some video shot of them in Los Angeles on the WYWH tour in 1975. It's kind of dark and you can't see the stage that well, but you can make out who's singing what and it seems pretty well synced.

The second batch of links is them in Munich in 1977. The video says March 1st, but there's no known audio from that show circulating so my guess would be it's actually from the 27th or 28th -- I'll check my boots to see if it matches with what I have.

I don't know if any of you have seen either of these two videos on YouTube before, but to me they're pretty spectacular. It's not a lot of live footage, and it's interspersed with pictures from the tour, but what live footage is there seems pretty well synced up to the sound. There's a great little snippet of David playing lap steel during SOYCD (VI - IX)!

Just thought you all might like to check these out in case you haven't yet. Smile

Thanks for posting the links LF.
What a shame they never filmed that tour. Sad

Is that what you would call a bootleg?

Yes, those would be called VoIOs or Videos of Indeterminate/Illegitimate Origin. Video bootlegs, in other words. There's also audio bootlegs, of course.

I have the boots from those shows, so trust me -- they didn't sound bad.

Awesome. It makes sense. Like the recent Wall concerts, I took videos and the audio from the camera is more like white noise then music xD

Could one not synch the better audio from the bootlegs with the videos?

I'm sure they could, it was done with the videos of The Wall at Earls Court that are on YouTube right now. The audio was taken from the Is There Anybody Out There? live release and synched with the video that already existed, so what you get is a better clarity of performance, even it doesn't match up 100% (the audio and video were taken from two different nights).

Your right LF, I just think that most people with home video like that would either not have a proper video editor or the skills to do it OR that they would bother to do it. My personal experience and form what ive seen is that. :P
