Roger Waters on autographs
I've been pondering and researching this for a month, never really got a clear answer. (I also apologize if this has been discussed before), but what does Roger Waters think about signing things mailed to him? I'd like to try it sometime. Does he take the time to read messages to him, and does he personally sign it?

I have no idea. But if an artist does this, I wonder how much time it'd cost them...

By the way, for shits and giggles, a relevant video by Ringo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpd24yVy5C4 Biggrin

I don't know. Send him a letter and ask for an autograph and see if you get one. I don't know if he has the time to personally respond to every single letter/missive that gets sent his way, but I would guess he responds to as many as he can.

I can't remember who it was, and am too lazy to look through old posts (edited: I looked it up...http://www.pinkfloydonline.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=14680&highlight=autograph) but I do remember a member here sending a request and actually getting two different signed pictures (he actually gave one away here) . Now whether Roger actually physically signed them or not I have no idea, but somewhere

Biggrin Indeed!

Imagine just how many letters with requests these super stars get every week.
I've always wondered; what is the point with an autograph anyway?

I don't know, maybe for some people it's a way to say, "Hey! This person I really like took the time to sign something for me!" For others, they may collect them. Others look at them as a means of making money -- getting something signed by a famous person and then hawking it on Ebay or a similar site.

George Harrison never got to finish opening all the presents he received for his twenty-first birthday (at least, I think it was his twenty-first). There were over 30,000 of them. So yeah, I suppose he got a fanmail or two through the years, too. :P

I have a photo of myself and Roger I'd love for him to sign, I'm just not sure where to send it. I don't know what his management company is. If anyone knows???
