The 2nd solo in Comfortably Numb. Live versions, studio version.....whatever. That solo is phenomenal.

I rightly lauded classic for sure.
Kudos for the FIRST solo though...compact, expressive, restrained, and not a note spare (Gilmour has to always play it the same note-for-note or it wouldn`t sound right).
Also a similar "structured" solo on a par with that would be the one on The Final Cut (title track).....dripping with almost impossible emotion and expression. guitar

The intro to Brain Damage.
I also like the part of Us and Them just after the intro ie the first signs of guitar after the organ.
I also love the part of Time just after the larm rings ie the ticking and the ominous notes.

I've always found it amazing that David can play the first solo in CN the same way every single time, without a single deviation in note or tone, and the play the second solo every night completely different. He's never played that solo the same way twice. It starts the same and ends the same, but usually that middle 3-4 mins are something new and exciting every time.

The kazoo solo from Corporal Clegg.

Everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
