I think the only song Nick sang on was Corporal Clegg. His voice isn't very far from Syd's "funny" voice.

He also sang on Scream Thy Last Scream and The Merry X-mas Song, although those were never officially released. STLS is very interesting, but Nick's accent makes it sound like a joke.

RE: Favourite Vocalist
Alright, I have a new list. I can't really rate them, but here's what I think of each member's voice.

Syd: Perfect for psychedelia.
David: Perfect for psychedelia, emotionally dead but aesthetically perfect. Dull on emotional songs, really good with hard rock songs such as The Nile Song and Young Lust. Really good on calm songs. Would have done a great job on The Gnome. He's great on Cirrus Minor and The Crying Song.
Rick: Where do I start? This guy is a gem. He's perfect for psychedelia, Matilda Mother, Let There Be More Light...etc. He does amazing harmony, Echoes, Astronomy Domine, Time...etc. He's emotionally and aesthetically good on lead vocals, Wearing The Inside Out, Reaching for the Rail, Night of a Thousand Furry Toys, Far From the Harbour Wall...I absolutely love him.
Roger: He does great ballads, If, Mother, Pigs on The Wing. He's also good on orchestral songs such as Bring the Boys Back Home, and Shine On You Crazy Diamond. I absolutely hate him when he uses backup singers. They're so annoying. Waters is very very very emotional, and that's what he's best at. I liked his voice on Set The Controls For The Heart of The Sun, and I think he'd be excellent on similar songs...he's too old now, though.
Nick: Nick is funny.

...our minds shot together.

I think they all have great voices (aside from Nick; but that's just because I've never heard him sing, so I have nothing to compare his voice to), and their voices worked great for the songs they sang. I know people bag on Roger for having a sub-par voice, but I think a lot of that now is down to age, not a lack of ability to start with. His voice on Pigs, Sheep, Run Like Hell, Hey You.....that all worked for him. Had David or Rick sang lead on any of those songs, it would have been awful.

RE: Favourite Vocalist
then it comes to singing......

Roger>Gilmour>Rick>Syd

Then I found out that roger was less trained as a singer than dave I couldnt believe it. Roger seems a lot more profesional to me. just listen to the thin ice, pigs, just about anything from final cut, comfortably numb(1980 live). Roger sounds to me like he has a bigger vocal range than dave(i could be wrong but gilmour always sounds the same.) Rick has kind of a weird voice. then he sings high he sounds like dave and then he sings low he sounds like roger. Theres not much to be said about daves or syds voices.
