Since I don't have pedals, and I'm not willing to buy any anytime soon, I was wondering if anybody knows if I can use my computer as a pedal. I can wire my guitar to my computer, and it works. I'd appreciate it if someone named a website or a software I can download and use a pseudo-pedal.

It depends on what type of effect your looking for, when i was in high school a friend of mine had a program called guitarfx. He used it with a programmable pedal he had when we played

Yeah I don't know of any actual programs that you can physically work like a pedal, I did find a program called Amplitube but you'll have to buy it and i'm not sure how it works.

If its guitar only your looking for you can get a program called Guitar Rig.
Whilst its a couple of quid its a very versatile software and even good live,
I use it myself for studio work, its a couple of bucks but if you google around you can find it ALOT cheaper *hint*.
