Personally, I wouldn't specify anything. I believe a funeral is meant for those in attendance to grieve and say their goodbye's. I'd rather have my family pick and choose everything because it would probably be therapeutic for them.

Now, having said that...........my friend Vince passed away 4 years ago, and we were at the funeral. It was a quiet time during the service and all of a sudden "Proud Mary" starts blasting through the church speakers. I'm like f*ck, and look at my friends and they're all cracking up. (actually, I'm laughing right now).........He was in his 70's and I talked with his wife afterwards and she said that that was his favorite song and he insisted that when he dies, he wants that song played. Well, if you knew him that was like the last song you would ever associate him with.
