So I'm watching my old Pulse vhs...
...for the first time in quite a long time. I don't have the dvd and I rarely watch video cassettes these days. This show is so good and it brings back some nice memories. I should watch it more often.

Haha, I really don't know where I'm going with this thread. Just wanted to share the moment I guess. I kinda forgot how good this video is. Cheers, fellow Floydians! :-)
Oh my, what a great version of Sorrow. The best solo ever.
And the Money solo isn't half bad either. And we get to see some David Gilmour dance moves in it too. Awesome! :-)

Can you not buy the DVD? It's worth it and you can watch it even again, the CD is also worth an add to your PF collection.
Good to hear you are enjoying.

Heh, of course I could buy the dvd, and I will eventually. It just hasn't been a top priority as I already have the vhs. :-)

The VHS has the full, unedited solo for Comfortably Numb, so while the video quality on a DVD will be better, you're losing that really awesome aspect of CN. I'd keep the VHS and just watch the better quality videos online.

The solo is edited on the dvd? I didn't know that. How much is missing?

If I buy the dvd I will probably keep the vhs anyway.

There's about a minute and a half edited out for the DVD. I have a bootleg of the concert that was recorded for the show, and the full length of Comfortably Numb is just about 11 minutes long, while on the DVD it's 9 1/2 minutes long. I think on YouTube you can watch a video of the performance, and it's the whole, unedited piece taken from the PPV broadcast.

Edit - here it is:
