I've got a nice picture of Richard, dated 1996 and a good one with Syd, Roger and Nick dated 1967 but I've never been able to up-load a image to this site.
I bought these from a press photographer in the UK.

Go to http://www.tinypic.com, upload it, it will give you a few links, one of them will appear like this . Copy and paste it here.

RE: Pictures: Rick Wright on stage and off
Thanks Joe,
I take it I'll need to scan the photos first. I've never had much success with that. From memory the computer save these as a "bitmap" file. The photos I take with the camera get saved differently and these I seem to be able to upload to sites OK, but that bitmap files have never uploaded.
Do you know how I save a scanned photo so I can upload it. In the past I've taken a photo of a photo to upload but there not as good.
Cheers
WD

In order for me (or anyone else) to be able to answer that question, I'd need to know what program is opened on your computer when you scan a picture and whether you have a PC or a Mac.

It's a PC. I've found a tab that I can change the bitmap to JPG. Not sure if this will work. I tried to scan something but can you believe my printer needs a black ink cartridge so it wont scan. I'll get one late this afternoon when I head down town. When I sit the pointer on a saved photo under TYPE it shows
UleadPlotolmpact 3.02 Image.
I'll get the cartridge, scan something in JPG and see if I can upload it. That program that shows up must be over 15 years old, I'm sure it came with the previous computer and I'm not sure why it has taken over the duties on this computer which is about 6 to 8 years old and a dell. I suppose you can tell I'm a bit of a computer dill, so please don't be to hard on me.
Thank you to yourself and Joe for getting the wheels turning on this.

You don't need ink to scan a picture. All a scanner does is take a picture of the image and import it to your computer. You'd only need ink if you were planning on printing it out. I've scanned hundreds of things over the years, and never needed ink to do it.

I would still need to know what program opens up on your screen after you scan a picture. Is it Microsoft Paint, Photoshop, PaintShopPro, etc,.?
