Does Gilmour Tour Anymore?
I just bought tickets to see Roger Waters June 3rd, But I really want to see Gilmour..I've searched the web everywhere about upcoming tour dates and I can't seem to find anything. Just databases of previous concerts from years ago..

You've pretty much just answered your own question.

David Gilmour isn't actively touring, but it's been confirmed that he's working on a new (solo) album. There's a decent possibility that he could "get out" on stage (though there's little chance he'd do anything large-scale).

When was it confirmed that he was working on a new record? I must have missed that......great news if its true.

Although nothing's been confirmed, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he comes out with another record. I follow Polly Samson on Twitter and every once and awhile she'll drop a tid bit about David working on a song or something like that. As far as touring, who knows? he certainly enjoyed the group of musicians he played with the last time around. I think it will really come down to how he feels about touring without Rick and music he won't be able to play.

I agree! I think it'll be really tough for Dave to go out on tour without his close friend Rick on the keys. They were probably closer than anyone else in the band. Although I'd love to see Dave tour again (I tend to enjoy his music more than Rogers), I don't think it'll be a big tour or even have much Floyd in them, it might be mainly his solo stuff.

I really appreciate David as a musician. He could play 2 hours of cover songs and I'd be happy.

I think I'm a bit late to participate in the discussion but very hopeful that the album would be
released till now. It seems to be interesting but I really couldn't get that.
Do you have some reference for that?? regards
