following the, erm, disaster that was Echoes - The Best of Pink Floyd, i have generated this genius idea of gthering together my favourite PF songs and having a crack at compliling my own PF Greatest Hits. what would be on your compilation?
here's my list, but it may change over time:

Atom Heart Mother overture
Arnold Layne
See Emily Play

One of These Days
Echoes
Breathe
Time
Shine on You Crazy Diamond
Wish you Were Here
Dogs

Comfortably Numb
Marooned (the WHOLE VERSION this time!)
Take it Back
High Hopes

Snake, history will never know what she did. No one will ever learn the truth. Her story... her debriefing... will endure only in your heart. Everything she did, she did for her country. She sacrificed her life and her honor for her native land. She was a real hero. She was a true patriot. ~ EVA re: The Boss (MGS3)

I made a 5-disc set that I think sums up Pink Floyd for me:

Disc One

1. Pigs on the Wing, Part One
2. See Emily Play
3. Cirrus Minor
4. Goodbye Blue Sky
5. Waiting for the Worms
6. Astronomy Domine
7. Summer 68
8. Love Scene Version 4
9. Wot's...Uh the Deal
10. Take it Back
11. The Gold It's In The...
12. Crumbling Land
13. Have a Cigar
14. Country Song
15. Your Possible Pasts
16. Seamus
17. Embryo

Disc Two

1. Echoes - Part One (Live at Pompeii)
2. Careful With That Axe, Eugene
3. Ibiza Bar
4. Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast
5. The Violent Sequence
6. The Final Cut
7. San Tropez
8. If
9. Cymbaline
10. Green is the Colour
11. Flaming
12. Lucifer Sam
13. Arnold Layne
14. Bike
15. Jugband Blues

Disc Three

1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pts. I-V
2. Heart Beat, Pig Meat
3. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
4. Remember a Day
5. Marooned
6. Paintbox
7. Julia Dream
8. One of My Turns
9. Wish You Were Here
10. The Nile Song
11. Corporal Clegg
12. Free Four
13. Comfortably Numb
14. Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pts. VI-IX

Disc Four

1. Let There Be More Light
2. Sysyphus
3. Wearing the Inside Out
4. Grantchester Meadows
5. Fearless
6. Burning Bridges
7. Stay
8. Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict
9. Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk
10. Biding My Time
11. Echoes - Part Two (Live at Pompeii)

Disc Five

1. Atom Heart Mother
2. Dogs
3. Fat Old Sun
4. Pigs (Three Different Ones)
5. Another Brick in the Wall Part 3
6. Welcome to the Machine
7. Nobody Home
8. Pigs on the Wing, Part Two

The reason for the complete absence of Dark Side of the Moon on this set is that a) I couldn't bring myself to exclude any songs, and b) I couldn't very well break them apart. So I decided not to include it at all...call it an unofficial Disc Six.

Not realy there is a whole lot of Pink Floyd not part of the box set.

American by birth, Floydian by obsession.
