Also liked the instrumentals "Pan Am Shuffle", "Country Theme", "Big Theme", and "Carrera Slow Blues" from 'La Carrera Panamericana'......great stuff. Rick and Dave really tear it up on "Pan Am Shuffle", dueling keys and guitar, in a very uptempo jam.

Wish they'd put out an all instrumental cd at some point.....
Right, well I've never heard anything from 'La Carrera Panamericana', must be good!

The idea of an instrumental album is certainly good! How about a best of instrumentals with additions or 1/2 new instrumentals would be like:

Speak To Me
One of These Days
On The Run
Interstellar Overdrive
The Narrow Way II
Careful With That Axe Eugene
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (inst. parts)
The Violent Sequence
Love Scene Version IV
Any Colors You Like
Echoes (inst. parts)
Signs of Life
Terminal Frost
Marooned

The truth is we all love to dream! :;):
A best of instrumentals without Atom Heart Mother? ??? :O

Speak To Me
One of These Days
On The Run
Interstellar Overdrive
Any Colors You Like
The Narrow Way II
Atom Heart Mother
Careful With That Axe Eugene
Echoes (Inst. parts)
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Inst. parts)
Cluster One
The Violent Sequence
Love Scene Version IV
Signs of Life
Terminal Frost
Marooned

As salt resolved in the ocean
I was swallowed in God's sea,
Past faith, past unbelieving,
Past doubt, past certainty.
Suddenly in my bosom
A star shone clear and bright;
All the suns of heaven
Vanished in that star's light.

RE: Signs of Life!
I love Signs of Life and really want to know what NM is saying after the first couple of lines. Am not convinced by the lyric websites. Have the official words been listed ever?

Just because you're offended it doesn't put you in the right.

Btw, wikipedia mentions a Special Version.

"In the special version, David Gilmour begins blowing into his mike and, during the song, he makes the same speech in the album. In the 1988 special version the song is 4:36."

Can't trust wiki 100% of course. So does anyone know if it's for real?

Does it cite any sources? Wikipedia is 100% trustworthy, granted that the sources are referenced to correctly.

I've never heard of that at all. I have the album, Delicate Sound of Thunder, and over 30 boots of that song, and that is news to me.

If there aren't any sources to back that up, I would consider it a pile of wank.
