Today, I see tons of kids with Dark side t shirts and hats and all these Pink Floyd fans walking around and A LOT of them have never listened to "Animals"! I think Animals is Pink Floyd's greatest album next to the wall. I mean, Dark side of the moon is without a doubt a classic but you can't make me believe that 8 year olds really enjoy listening to "The great gig in the sky". "Animals" is also so overlooked 'cause most songs are well over 10 minutes. What gives????? Angry

I doubt that many of the Pink Floyd "fans" that you see around have actually ever listened to DSOTM never mind Animals. You get a lot of posers who buy the merchandise just because they like the prism, not because they like or even know who Pink Floyd are. There is the fact that there are alot of radio friendly songs on DSOTM which there aren't on Animals which would obviously expose DSOTM to people and the other radio friendly tracks. Animals doesn't get this exposure and this is why many people who claim to be fans haven't heard of Animals.

I agree with Philintheflesh and think that Animals is their best album.

I've said it many times that my favorite song to play is ...Dogs!! Hands down!! Wish You Were Here is still my fave album to listen to, but the Animals album is the most fun for me to play!! rocker

In terms of lyrics, guitar, overall sound, and much more, Animals is their best album. The fact that it has songs over 10 minutes kinda killed its chance to have radio airplay, which in a way sucks, because the only stuff that people know are Money, Time, Brain Damage/Eclipse, Wish You Were Here, Have a Cigar, Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2, Hey You, and Comfortably Numb. There is SOOO much more to Floyd than those handful of songs. Many of those I don't even consider in Floyd's top 20
