Well, this is what I found at http://www.pink-floyd.org/faq/faq8.html#2
I dont know if someone else already posted this..
Why is Yoko Ono mentioned ?
Said Roger Waters: Some of the ideas have come from my own dreams and also there are bits and pieces of other people's dreams. In fact, the third verse of the album's title track talks about standing on the wing of an aeroplane, looking down at the Eastern Seaboard of the United States and Yoko Ono being there, and telling me to jump; that everybody's got to die some time and the manly thing to do is to end it all now.
That dream belongs to Andy Newmark, the drummer. He came in one day and over lunch in the pub he told me about this dream and I thought, "That's a good dream, I'll try and fit that in somewhere." So I did.

Not so much a vendetta. Roger is a huge Lennon fan. Many fans feel that way about Yoko Ono. Roger was just saying on tape what all the fans were saying the whole time.

I know what you're talking about. I was listening to "Plastic Ono Band" by Yoko Ono in a Barnes and Noble - (released the same time as Johns - only it's ****). I was honestly trying to see what John saw in Yoko - but I couldn't! I got to one song where there was a pretty good raunchy guitar part, and I was thinking - "Alright - this one is the only good song here!"
Then I read the B&N notes about the album - that was Johns part! :D
Well as long as it made him happy.

As far as I know, Yoko was not a musician. She started as an artist and 'morphed' to musician when Lennon fell in love with her. I really don't think she any merit. I think that Lennons fans gave her credence out of respect for Lennon. When I look at any one artist I ask myself "what have THEY done?" I don't believe in as Waters puts it "hitchhiking". So I would say Yokos claim to fame is that she is John Lennons widow.

I think it's clear, the lyric only exists due to John Lennon's death since Yoko would basically have been untouchable were he alive. No one, especially a fan like Roger would insult her in song if John hadn't been murdered and she, percieved to be capitalizing on his legacy.

I dunno, Waters had the balls to parody Sgt. Pepper's on Corporal Clegg to get his point across. And if you think it was just an "influence" or an "homage" your kidding yourself. Roger took a respected band and altered a tune by them to his own agenda. I honestly think that it took balls to attack Yoko even with John dead, as she was getting praised by the press for "honoring" John's memory well Waters, after leaving Floyd, was excluding by many of his peers.
