The lyrics are genius, but the music is boring, which ruins it.
They should have replaced Sheep with another Wright/Waters masterpiece like Us And Them.

I would say that statement alone would've merited banishment!
I went with 'Sorrow'.......I really like the way they close it out in concert, reprising that great guitar from the intro. That would have been a very cool way for 'Lapse' to finish out too. In fact, I'll go so far to say that 'Sorrow' might very well be the most improved song of any in the entire Floyd catalog, when performed live.

Agreed, on all accounts above.
Sorrow was improved when played live, but to be fair, Dave did record it on his own, until the backing singers were added.

RE: Fade outs - Which song should not have faded out?
Yeah I was all ready to vote for "Comfortably Numb" but quickly scared myself into believing that Pink Floyd would read this thread sometime, go back and remaster the song and change the song's ending to an unremarkable and disappointing resolution.
Come on guys. Let's not talk about it anymore. I'm really afraid something bad might happen.
I don't know that "Comfortably Numb" would be less than legend if it say ended with a building crescendo and then stops.
