Three Different Ones Wrote:Like I've said a million times, I think it's overrated because I don't think the contents of the album itself are up to par with any of the other three of the big four. I'd call it the weakest of the big four by a landslide, really. Lyrically, the only thing that's sort of up to par is probably Time, Us and Them and maybe Brain Damage, musically, I'd say WYWH is a lot more creative with the long instrumental passages, what Floyd's known for, and much better keyboard parts, much more interesting, and it's easier to digest for me, personally and I think it has a lot more lyrical substance than its predecessor. Animals blows it out of the water with lyrics, guitar work, drumming, and the keyboard intro to "Sheep" is amazing, like the song or not. And finally, concept-wise, The Wall is a much better concept, thought the Dark Side of the Moon's concept is GOOD I wouldn't put it up to par with the other three. Yes it was a height of group activity, but for the other categories it's just not up to par, and I don't think as a whole it's really it's made out to be, I think it's a good album, just very overhyped, and not really deserving of the hype it gets, it's a good album, just overrated in my estimation
