Um I have a Fender American Stratocaster Black and White with the lighter color wood fret thing. But um I was wondering what Dave Gilmour used to play most his songs.

Also I try to play some songs like sheep which isn't too hard on the main rythm guitar, but I notice tab is wrong. Like it say play the 0-7-9-9 right but then the 5-7-7 it say play without the muting but on the album he plays that with the muting in between playing as well. Also the dropdown between the previous part I described to 2-4-4 doesn't seem right either. He has it with mutes but to me it just sounds like a very very fast slide down from the high notes to reach 2-4-4.

Also dogs, Anyone have the tabs for the second guitar played over the acoustic strums. The one that is like high to med to low pitch. Sounds like an electric guitar to me. One more thin pertaining to dogs is what is the easiest way to tune to drop d tuning? Just use keyboard and tune the high e string to d then flow down and get the rest in tune with it?

Also I just want to be sure an x means mute and to do that I just smack my palm against the strings to shut them up. Right? Thats how I have been doing it because I been listening to the sheep album trying to imitate how it sounds.

Thats why I ask what an X does for a tab?

I know it is some sort of mute as if you listen to song it mute the guitar quickly after played during main verse lyrics then when it go to the whammy bared part it is let to ring out.
