Here is a new tip.

This one is for nail care. I found a great tool for the nails on my picking-fingers. Sharper-Image has a portable nail wand.
It's only about $50. I shape mine a certain way and this makes it easier.

Here's a new tip:

Sometimes shops give me gear to check out. I was given one of the new DigiTech "Hendrix Experience" modeling pedals to play with. These tones are nothing new to guitarist with gear they may already have. I won't pour over with details about Jimi's sound but I will say that this box has real clean effects.
What makes it fun is that you can switch between 7 models with just one dial on just one pedal.

Here is an old tip

I got this new slide that is a hunk of metal that wears like a
ring. You can flip it around on your knuckle so that one side is all metal for the slide or reverse it to a thin band so that your finger can bend for chords or notes.

Way cool man.......

Here is an old tip:

On acoustic guitars when the string holes in the bridge are badly worn it becomes very difficult for the bridge pin to properly hold the guitar string without popping out.

A quick fix is to remove the ball end from an old guitar string and slide it over the new string all the way down to the end. With the extra ball end there, the string can sit tighter under the bridge plate and allow the pin to hold the guitar string securely in place.
