Guitarists HELP! - Creating own chords/tuning

All guitarists out there, help me out, can i play guitar except for standard tuning & can I create my own chords like 5th fret note of 6th string & 5th fret note of 1st string in any tunning I do ?

Bit confused! plz help me out folks.

mm i dont quiet get wot u are saying but try dropping high e to a d

then play chords and they sound goood ro just by a capo

One of my favourite alternates is "G-tuning". Drop top & bottom E to D, & "A"-string down to G:

So from top to bottom:

D
B
G
D
G
D

Led Zeps "That`s The Way" (off Zep III) springs to mind.

Tuning to a chord is great for slide too.

yo thats an aweosme tuning..
sounds amzing to make your own chords on that tuning or whatever just playing songs on it

then tune a to an e

to get the effect

my favs are standard (dudely dude)
and drop D (D A D G B E) for the prophets song, goodbye blue sky, and some song s I wrote myself

But still yeah the guiyar is yours tune it however you want, experiment, there is no harm involved

and keep playing and rocking, good luck :D rocker
