I think you should buy his earler work before you get into his more recent stuff, because a cd is like a diary/story you cant just leave out a big chunk of the story, it wont make sense so go with his earlyer work hammers

Ca Ira is fantastic.Since I am devoted listener of classical music and opera,I find it very beautiful. And not only becouse it's composed by Roger, but also becouse it is great work of art. While listening to some parts I felt that Puccini is alive and that he is the composer, not Roger, but, than music very slowly switches to trademark Floyd tunes, though orchestrated. And I disagree with some criticists saying that there is no Floyd in that opera, there IS,and they should have felt it.And as far as Amused to Death is concern,it is great.Buy it now!

Amused to Death is great. It's Water's best work, though Pros & Cons is close. Radio Kaos was good but is now sort of dated with that 80's sound.

The Kaos tour was awesome. I saw it three times and I'd have gone more if I could have.

Amused to Death will stand up to time. It's totally relevant if you listen right now.

Amused is far better than any Waterless Floyd. Sad but true.
Well I disagree.Division Bell is at least equal.

I don't see what's so great about ATD. I found Rog to be a bore lyrically on that album. He just got too repetative...TV, blah blah blah, war, blah blah blah, etc etc. The music was also pretty yawn. I'm so glad TDB came out a couple years later to wash out that drivel.

Buy buy buy!

It may seem a little too different at first listen, but let it grow on you. It is an incalcuably deep and beautiful work!
