Hi Liam,

Thanks for writing. My apologies for taking so long to reply.

This should be yout main guitar for most of DG's tones.

>I Have Tried The Emgs Out And Didnt Think They Made A Diffrence So I Use SIngle Coil Fender Noisless They Do The Job Fine

I also have a guitar with the Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups in it and I really like them as well.

>Then I Have The Boss Gt 8 MultiProcceser This Is My Main Unit Of Effects I Have A Big Muff Settign Based In That But Ive Actually Never >Used It

I would use the Big Muff for most of the heavy tones from The Wall through the Division Bell tour. I'd set the tone control around 1:00 to 2:00 (like a clock) and I'd turn the sustain up all the way. The key is to run a clean signal between your guitar and amp and then use effect pedals to color your signal. So if DG wants to go between clean and distorted then he turns his Big Muff on and off.

>Right Now I Just Plug Them In And Play In Any Random Order But I want To Get A Easier And More Efficent Setup Out Of It

What you want to do is run any compressors first, then distortion pedals, then modulation pedals (flanger, chorus, etc.) then EQ or noise gates and then have any kind of delays last in the chain. This is the chain that DG uses and it seems to work well for everyone else who's tried it.

>My Playing TEchnique Is All Mastered I HAve Been TOld My Vibrato And Use Of Tremlo Bar ANd Bending Is Brilliant FOr MY Age

That's great to hear. To me, finger vibrato is the key to everything.

Regards
Richard

Yeah, about the pickups. I also have vintage fender noiseless, and they are AMAZING. Too bad they're not strong enough for heavier stuff too, but for Gilmour tones, they are awesome.
