How did they do that on Sheep? - Make the voice turn into a synth.

I love it when Roger's voice slowly turns into a shimmering synth, flawlessly. How did they do that? You think they slowly lowered the volume of his voice while bringing in a synth on the same note? It just transforms so flawlessly.

YE ITSaa vocoder but it can be done by usuing the same note on a synth and fading the 2 together with the same signal returns

na man see when u listen to sheep and it goes harmless watching the grassland wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy it fades into a synth thats the vocoder

the same effect as gilmour using on a new machine

No, I studied it and it's not a vocoder, that's not what a vocoder does anyway. It simply fades into a synth, there's no modulation involved. I did it to my voice yesterday in an experiment.

It's a VERY well done Crossfade...so, the credit (or blame) goes to James Guthrie or Brian Humphries. Dogs used a Vocoder on the barking sounds (actual Dogs processed through a vocoder), Pigs was Dave and his talkbox. I think.
